Some of the Nation's Best Fishing is at Kentucky Lake!
Crappie anglers will love Kentucky Lake, especially Calloway County’s Blood River. This large inlet of Kentucky Lake features great crappie fishing year-round, with peak fishing occurring in the spring with the annual spawn.
Bass anglers will enjoy catching largemouth and smallmouth. An abundance of yellow bass is present in the lake, which creates a feisty catching experience for younger anglers! Bluegill and catfish are also a favorite target of fishermen.
With the vast amounts of water on Kentucky Lake, there is plenty of room for anglers and recreational boaters alike!
Kentucky is also well known for hunting, especially deer. The woodlands, creeks and water sheds in Calloway County and around Kentucky Lake make our area a favorite spot for hunters.
Deer, wild turkey, ducks and other small game are common targets. Hunters from all over the country know about western Kentucky and the lakes region.
